- Blindfolds
Participants form pairs. One person is blindfolded and is 'blind', the other is the guide. Roles are swapped during the activity.
The pairs move around in the terrain – on/off track – and can try out different skiing techniques. The guide gives only short instructions or sounds that tell the 'blind' person where to go. Initially, they can hold hands, but eventually, the 'blind' person should move as independently as possible, only relying on the sounds from their guide.
Variation
Create a blind man's buff relay where it's not allowed to hold hands. Feel free to swap roles (blind person and guide) after each round. Decide in advance how many rounds are to be skied. The first team to finish wins.
