Las Vegas

A game where coordination skills, such as adjusted power, are challenged.
- 6-14 years
- Group size: 2+
- Duration: 20 min
- Alternative physical activities
- Gym / Sports hall
- Open space
- Bean bags
- Chalk
Draw ten squares in a row. The closest square gives 1 point, the next 2 points, and so on, with the furthest square giving 10 points. Additionally, you can draw one extra square about two meters further away, this one gives 20 points.
All participants stand behind a clear throwing line a few meters from the first square and get five throws each with beanbags. The goal is to land the beanbags in the squares: the further away, the more points. The points are counted afterward, and the person with the most points wins.
Variations
- Let participants roll a ball towards the squares instead of throwing. The task then becomes adapting speed and direction so that the ball stops in the desired square.
- Use blindfolds: participants walk towards the squares themselves and try to stop in a specific square. It's a good idea to go in pairs, where one person is sighted and gives commands, and the other is blindfolded. Agree beforehand on how many commands are allowed; for example, the 'blind' person must stop after five commands.
- Adjust the distance to the squares for participants who find it difficult to throw far or accurately.
- Use larger squares or clearer markings if needed.
