Create a court as shown in the illustration (for example, with chalk on asphalt or tape on the floor). Participants line up behind the starting line and take turns. Blindfolded, they walk towards the 'scoring area' and drop a beanbag when they think they are within it. If you hit outside the scoring area, you get 0 points. If you hit within, you get points based on how close to the center the beanbag lands.
Examples of tasks:
- Play multiple rounds, sum the scores, find the average, or the difference between various attempts.
- Team competition.
- The team should reach a certain number of points as quickly as possible, for example, 300, with the requirement that all scoring zones must be used.
- Place different objects in the various scoring zones and have participants collect one object from each zone in ascending or descending order (e.g., pinecone = 100 points, stone = 50 points, stick = 10 points).
IMPORTANT! There must always be a person without a blindfold supervising to prevent collisions and other accidents.
Variations
Participants can also throw from the starting line and try to hit closest to the center, or use balls that are rolled (like in curling).
Another variation is to start by having participants collect pinecones as 'ammunition' from a designated spot (like in biathlon). Each participant gets three throws, and the points are taken back to the team. A miss can result in a penalty round. Who finishes first? Who gets the most points? Who wins if each point gives a 1-second time deduction? Simple registration forms are useful then.
Adapt the tasks according to the target group (age and knowledge level).
