- Ball
One participant stands in the middle of a circle. The player in the middle is the 'tiger' and tries to get hold of the ball that the others in the circle are passing to each other. The ball should either be bounced or rolled along the floor; it is not allowed to throw it in the air.
When the tiger gets the ball, he or she swaps places with the person who last played the ball. The game can go around the circle so that everyone gets to be the tiger at least once.
Variations
- Various rules can be added, for example: If someone manages to bounce the ball through the tiger's legs without the tiger catching it, the tiger must stay in for an extra round. The game can also be combined with PIG: Every time you end up in the middle, you get a letter. The first person to spell PIG is out.
- The further away the others stand from the tiger, the harder it becomes for the tiger to get the ball. To make the game easier, participants can move closer to the tiger, or sit on their bottoms while playing the ball.
