The game is played with two players per team and four to seven teams in each pool. The volleyball court is divided into an A-side and a B-side. Two teams are on the court at a time. Only one point is played per rally, and points can only be won when the team is on the A-side.

  • The team on the B-side starts with the serve and is the challenger team. They try to win the rally to take over the A-side.
  • The team on the A-side tries to defend their position and accumulate points.

If the A-side wins the rally, they get one point, and a new challenger team comes in on the B-side. If the A-side loses the rally, this team must leave and go to the back of the queue on the B-side, while the team from the B-side moves to the A-side. The next team in the queue on the B-side serves. Teams count their own points. Which team reaches 8 points first?

The court size should be adapted to the players' level, but approximately 3 × 3 meters per side should be the minimum. There should not be more than seven teams in the pool, otherwise, the waiting time will be too long.

The game requires fundamental skills and some game understanding. It is recommended to assemble teams that are somewhat evenly matched, so that as many as possible can experience success. Game sequences are often short, with frequent opponent changes, which provides both excitement and challenge. Players must be concentrated during short, intense sessions. The team that loses and leaves takes the ball with them so that it does not interfere with the next match. Extra activities for waiting teams are not necessary because the rotation is fast.
