About Activitybox
Activitybox is a digital idea and resource bank for kindergartens, schools, and after-school care. Our goal is to make it easy to find, adapt, and use activities that create joy of movement, mastery, and community for all children and young people.
Here you will find a wide selection of activities and exercises useful for both physical education and daily physical activity. The activities are described with suggestions for age, time usage, equipment, and movement area. Many of the activities also contain concrete advice on adaptation and facilitation.
Inclusion and Mastery for All
All activities in Activitybox can be tailored to different age groups, prerequisites, and frameworks. This ensures that more people can participate in a safe and inclusive way.
The suggestions for universal design and adaptation of activities have been developed in collaboration with the National Quality and Competence Network for Children and Young People with Disabilities (NKBUF).
Background and Operations
Activitybox (Aktivitetskassen) was originally developed as "Aktivitetsbanken" by the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training. Today, the National Centre for Food, Health and Physical Activity is responsible for the further operation and quality assurance of the resource bank, on behalf of the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training.
Our ambition is to be a practical tool for school staff, SFO, kindergartens, and everyone else who wishes to use physical activity as a natural part of everyday life.
