- Ball
The students stand in a line, one behind the other. One student (or teacher) stands at the front with the ball. This person is the game leader and throws the ball to each student in turn. At the same time, the leader announces a category they are thinking of, for example, a country, an animal, a fruit, or something else. When the students have the ball thrown to them, they must come up with one suggestion within that category before throwing the ball back to the leader.
- When someone guesses correctly, something new happens in the game: The leader slams the ball hard onto the floor (bounces it) while shouting «Halli Hallo!» and starts running. The student who guessed correctly runs after the ball. Once the student has caught the ball, they shout «Hole in the Hat!» or «Stop!».
Now, the student who guessed correctly must try to throw the ball through a «ring» that the leader makes with their arms - for example, by forming a large circle with their hands in front of their body. If the distance between the student and the leader is very large, the leader can allow the student to take a few steps forward, for example, two «elephant steps», «mouse steps», or other imaginative steps that you agree upon. This way, the student gets a little closer and has a better chance of hitting the ring.
Once the throw is completed, you can start a new round: the leader chooses a new category, the students line up again, and the game continues.
