Mark an area in the ski resort with a clear start and finish line. Everyone starts at the same time, and the first one to reach the finish line wins. Age, equipment, and the children's skills determine how you set up the activity and which terrain you choose. For everyone to be able to start simultaneously, the area must be wide enough. If there are too many for a mass start, divide into smaller groups. The activity can be done both with and without poles.
Variation
The course can be done in many ways, for example:
- Ski in pairs while holding hands
- Ski on one ski
- Let everyone choose one or two people they want to compete against
- Aim to 'catch up with the one in front'
