- 6+ years
- Group size: 8+
- Duration: 20 min
- Ball sport
- Nature playground
- Mountains, forests and fields
- Ball
Mark a clear area. Divide the group into two or more teams. One team at a time are the 'hunters' and, within a set time, must hit the players on the opposing team as many times as possible with one or more soft balls.
The player holding the ball is not allowed to run. They must either shoot at an opponent or pass to a teammate. After a while, the teams switch roles so that everyone gets a turn as hunters. The team with the most hits combined wins. Players who are hit do not leave the game but continue to play.
Variations
- If the terrain is suitable, you can create a simple obstacle course that participants must move around in one specific direction. Feel free to start with just one ball, and add more gradually.
- Once participants are comfortable with the game, you can expand the area and use multiple balls. This increases both the intensity and the difficulty.
