Snow offers endless opportunities for fun, and playing in the snow and making snowballs is particularly enjoyable.
Suggested activities:
- Make snowballs with the children, and try to make them as hard and round as possible.
- Let the children throw them their own way first. Then try throwing with your right hand and left foot forwar, and with your left hand and right foot forward.
- Throw over something tall, or see who can throw the furthest.
- Start the throw with your throwing arm straight up in the air, and lower your arm a little further with each throw.
- Make a target and try to hit it, or throw snowballs at a wall and see if you can make a pattern.
- Build a snow lantern, a snowman, a snow castle or a snow cave.
- Lie down in the snow and make snow angels.
