All participants are given a tennis ball or a beanbag, which they hold in their hand. One or more (depending on the group size) are appointed as ‘bag monsters’ and are each given a bag, which they must use to collect as many tennis balls as possible. They do this by touching other participants who have a ball in their hand. When you lose your ball to a beanbag monster, you must immediately fetch a new one, so that you always have a ball in your hand. An adult is responsible for supervising and handing out extra balls, so there should be plenty of spare balls in relation to the number of participants.

The game is similar to ‘tail tag’, but is more inclusive because it is not immediately obvious who has lost the ‘tail’, as everyone has a ball in their hand at all times. The activity is also well suited to skiing or ice skating.
