Two teams play against each other in a defined area with two goals. All participants must sit and can only move by using their arms and legs in a sitting position. The team that has scored the most goals when time runs out wins.

Softballs or light medicine balls can be used. The activity can be organized as a mini-tournament with multiple courts and teams.

Choose ball type based on participants:

  • A regular football/soccer ball is best suited for older and more ball-accustomed participants, as it bounces more and is harder to control.
  • A light medicine ball that rolls along the ground is better suited for younger participants.

Variation

Remove the ball and create a "Last man standing" variation:

  • Everyone starts sitting, and it is not allowed to touch the ground with your bottom, back, elbows, or other "forbidden" body parts.
  • Participants can challenge each other by:

When someone touches the ground with a forbidden body part, they are out. Gradually, fewer and fewer participants remain, until finally two are left to fight to be the "last man standing".
