- Partner exercise

- Open space
- Gym Mat
One participant gets well-balanced on all fours on a soft surface. The other kneels beside them.
Then:
- the one kneeling takes an underhand grip across the abdominal region of the one on all fours
- gets a firm grip with one hand near the opposite hip bone
- places the other hand near the sternum
With controlled force, he/she tries to lift themselves up into a balance with their legs extended straight up in the air.
Variation
Once the movement becomes consistent, it can be incorporated into a small 'series' where it is performed calmly and fluidly. Participants can also try simple 'tricks' with their legs in the air, for example:
- split
- straddle
- small rotations or movements
