Basic skating skills are challenged in a playful and motivating way.

- Group size: 1+
- Duration: 50 min
- Alternative physical activities
- Snow / ice
- Ice skates
An obstacle course is both fun and challenging for children. You can include different obstacles that give them the opportunity to practice several of the skating drills and skills they have already learned.
Examples of elements in an obstacle or learning course:
- Jumping over snow piles
- Skating slalom around cones, mittens, etc., on one or two legs
- Making “loops/figures” around pucks, cones, etc.
- Bending down and going under an obstacle
- Running as if they were wearing shoes
- Falling in a controlled way and getting back up again
Let the children help choose the activities and exercises so that there is variety between the different courses. Create level-based obstacle courses where the children get to try a range of different challenges.
