Red light on skis
Challenges basic skiing skills and reaction time

All participants line up at one end of the area. On the opposite side, one person stands as “red light”. The “red light” stands with their back to the group, while the others start skiing towards them.
When the person who is “red light” decides, they count out loud: 1–2–3, say “red light”, and turn around. At that moment, no one is allowed to move. Anyone who is seen moving/gliding on their skis must go back to the starting line.
The first person to reach the “red light” takes over the role in the next round.
Vary the activity by letting the children ski without poles, on one ski, backwards, etc.
