Reflex Orienteering

This activity challenges children's spatial orientation and visual sense.
- 3-10 years
- Group size: 2+
- Duration: 40 min
- Orienteering
- Mountains, forests and fields
This is an activity that is well suited for both autumn and winter. Find terrain that suits the group of children participating. Create an orienteering course with reflectors or reflective vests and tasks in the forest or on the preschool's or school's outdoor area. The course should be prepared the day before, so that the activity can be carried out early in the morning. Bring flashlights and lights into the forest to be able to discover the checkpoints hanging around.
The course can either be made as a star shape with a central meeting point, or as a circular course where the checkpoints are in a specific order. Ensure that the first reflector is visible from the starting point of the course, and that the next checkpoint is always visible when the children arrive at a new checkpoint.
At each reflector, you can attach various tasks that the children must solve before they can proceed along the course.
