The birds gather food
A fun competition game that’s perfect for a day out

The participants are divided into groups and build ‘nests’ in their own corners of the area. At the signal, the participants set off to fetch ‘food’ back to their nests. The food could be, for example, pine cones and sticks.
The food can be gathered in a pile in the middle of the field, or collected from the surrounding natural environment. Participants are only allowed to take one item at a time. Who has gathered the most food when the signal is given?
The activity can also be carried out on snow or ice, or indoors in a gym.
