- Rope
Divide the court into two with a rope. Two meters from the rope, a restraining line is marked on each side. Participants are not allowed to step over this line.
The game involves throwing the ball under the rope, past opponents and out over the sideline or end line. If the team succeeds, they get one point. Opponents try in every possible way to stop the ball. Teams throw alternately.
To create more activity and a safer environment, it is an advantage to have few players on each team. Rather create several small courts than few teams with many players.
Variations
- Variant with throwing over rope/net: The ball is thrown over the net and must bounce once within the designated area before anyone is allowed to catch it. If the ball bounces twice, the point goes to the team that threw it. If the ball goes outside the area, the point goes to the opponents.
- Cooperative play: Remove the scoring system and let the focus be on the team working together to stop the ball before it goes out over the sideline.
- Use a smaller ball to increase difficulty.
