Dodgeball: Three Teams

Dodgeball: Three Teams

Dodgeball variant with teams.

  • 10+ years
  • Group size: 9+
  • Duration: 20 min
  • Ball sport
  • Competitive game
  • Gym / Sports hall
  • Open space
  • Ball

The group is divided into three teams, each positioned in its own area: two teams in the outer fields and one team in the middle. The teams on the edges throw at the players in the middle, while the team in the middle tries to avoid being hit. Hitting a player in the middle field gives one point to the throwing team. Players who are hit do not leave the game but continue to play in the middle field. The teams in the outer fields take turns throwing. Balls caught in the middle field do not award points. Teams rotate being in the middle field approximately every 5 minutes. The winner is the team with the most points at the end.

Variation

  • The exercise can easily be adapted if there are only three people.
  • By increasing the distance between the teams, it becomes harder to hit opponents.
