Dodgeball: Circle

Dodgeball: Circle

A collaborative game that simultaneously trains ball control, reaction, and spatial awareness.

  • Group size: 5-10
  • Duration: 15 min
  • Ball sport

  • Gym / Sports hall
  • Open space
  • Ball

The group is divided into two teams with approximately five participants per team. If there are more of you, you can create two circles and four teams.

One team consists of throwers and stands outside the circle. The other team consists of runners and stands inside the circle. The throwers' task is to try to hit the runners with a ball. The time it takes until all runners have been hit at least once is measured. Once all runners have been hit, the teams switch roles.

Variation

If you have many participants but want one common circle, you can expand the exercise by creating an inner circle with throwers. This way, the runners are attacked from multiple sides, and the intensity increases.

  • Make it harder for the runners by using two balls simultaneously.
  • Increase the distance between throwers and runners to make it more challenging to hit and to extend the activity.
