As in the traditional game of tag, one person is "it" and tries to catch the others. In this variant, this happens by kicking a soft ball at the other participants. The one who is hit is "caught" and becomes "it".
Variation
Another variant is that the one who is "it" tries to hit as many as possible within one minute. Hits are counted aloud as they happen. Both variants can also be played by throwing the ball instead of kicking it.
Tip: If there are many participants who are uncomfortable with the ball, and some who play football actively, you can adapt by only allowing the most experienced players to kick with their "wrong" foot.
As an adult, you should pay close attention and make it clear that there should be no "smashing"; the ball should be kicked or thrown in a controlled manner, without using all the force one has.
